Sarah Albee’s award winning picture book, “The Painter and the President,” tells the story of Gilbert Stuart’s famous portrait of George Washington in a way that is accessible to children and families of all ages. Where better to celebrate this book than the childhood home of the painter himself, Gilbert Stuart!
This day of fun for the whole family will include a reading by the author, Sarah Albee (copies available in the gift shop at a 10% discount), a conversation with Sarah about her research process, and arts and crafts for the whole family.
