The Gilbert Stuart Birthplace and Museum is situated on 23 acres in the woods of Saunderstown, Rhode Island on a beautiful millpond and stream, surrounded by gardens, woodland hiking trails, fresh water fishing and more!

The Gilbert Stuart Birthplace & Museum opens for the 2024 season on April 28, 2024
From May 2 through May 26, 2024 the museum will be open Thursdays through Sundays from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
From May 29 – October 13, 2024 the museum will be open Wednesdays through Sundays from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
The last day of regular operation for the 2024 season is October 13.
The museum will be closed on Thursday, July 4, 2024 to celebrate Independence Day.
